It is the glory of God to conceal a thing: but the honor of kings to search out a matter. (Proverbs 25:2)

The Role of Women Past, Present, and Future

God Formed Eve to be a helper to Adam

Genesis 2:18 - "And the LORD God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him."

This is where God took the one being (Adam) and made it into two beings. A little lower than the angels, the second Adam (Jesus) the Word made flesh

Genesis 2:23 - "And Adam said, This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man. Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh."

Genesis 3:16-17 - "Unto the woman he said, I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception; in sorrow thou shalt bring forth children; and thy desire shall be to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee. And unto Adam he said, Because thou hast hearkened unto the voice of thy wife, and hast eaten of the tree, of which I commanded thee, saying, Thou shalt not eat of it: cursed is the ground for thy sake; in sorrow shalt thou eat of it all the days of thy life;"

Proverbs 31:11-31 - "Who can find a virtuous woman? for her price is far above rubies.

  • The heart of her husband doth safely trust in her, so that he shall have no need of spoil. She will do him good and not evil all the days of her life.
  • She seeketh wool, and flax, and worketh willingly with her hands.
  • She is like the merchants' ships; she bringeth her food from afar.
  • She riseth also while it is yet night, and giveth meat to her household, and a portion to maidens.
  • She considereth a field, and buyeth it: with the fruit of her hands she planteth a vineyard.
  • She girdeth her loins with strength, and strengtheneth her arms.
  • She perceiveth that her merchandise is good: her candle goeth not out by night.
  • She layeth her hands to the spindle, and her hands hold the distaff.
  • She stretcheth out her hand to the poor; yea, she reacheth forth her hands to the needy.
  • She is not afraid of the snow for her household: for all her household are clothed with scarlet.
  • She maketh herself coverings of tapestry; her clothing is silk and purple.
  • Her husband is known in the gates, when he sitteth among the elders of the land.
  • She maketh fine linen, and selleth it; and delivereth girdles unto the merchant.
  • Strength and honour are her clothing; and she shall rejoice in time to come.
  • She openeth her mouth with wisdom; and in her tongue is the law of kindness.
  • She looketh well to the ways of her household, and eateth not the bread of idleness.
  • Her children arise up, and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praiseth her.
  • Many daughters have done virtuously, but thou excellest them all.
  • Favour is deceitful, and beauty is vain: but a woman that feareth the LORD, she shall be praised.
  • Give her of the fruit of her hands; and let her own works praise her in the gates."

1 Corinthians 11:7-10 - "For a man indeed ought not to cover his head, forasmuch as he is the image and glory of God: but the woman is the glory of the man. For the man is not of the woman: but the woman of the man. Neither was the man created for the woman; but the woman for the man. For this cause ought the woman to have power on her head because of the angels."

1 Corinthians 11:15 - "But if a woman have long hair, it is a glory to her: for her hair is given her for a covering."

1 Corinthians 14:34-35 - "Let your women keep silence in the churches: for it is not permitted unto them to speak; but they are commanded to be under obedience as also saith the law. And if they will learn any thing, let them ask their husbands at home: for it is a shame for women to speak in the church."

1 Timothy 2:9-14 - "In like manner also, that women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with shamefacedness and sobriety; not with broided hair, or gold, or pearls, or costly array; but (which becometh women professing godliness) with good works. Let the woman learn in silence with all subjection. But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence. For Adam was first formed, then Eve. And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression."

Isaiah 3:12 - "As for my people, children are their oppressors, and women rule over them. O my people, they which lead thee cause thee to err, and destroy the way of thy paths."

Isaiah 3:16-24 - "Moreover the LORD saith, Because the daughters of Zion are haughty, and walk with stretched forth necks and wanton eyes, walking and mincing as they go, and making a tinkling with their feet: therefore the LORD will smite with a scab the crown of the head of the daughters of Zion, and the LORD will discover their secret parts. In that day the Lord will take away the bravery of their tinkling ornaments about their feet, and their cauls, and their round tires like the moon, The chains, and the bracelets, and the mufflers, The bonnets, and the ornaments of the legs, and the headbands, and the tablets, and the earrings, the rings, and nose jewels, the changeable suits of apparel, and the mantles, and the wimples, and the crisping pins, the glasses, and the fine linen, and the hoods, and the vails. And it shall come to pass, that instead of sweet smell there shall be stink; and instead of a girdle a rent; and instead of well set hair baldness; and instead of a stomacher a girding of sackcloth; and burning instead of beauty."

Isaiah 4:1 - "And in that day seven women shall take hold of one man, saying, We will eat our own bread, and wear our own apparel: only let us be called by thy name, to take away our reproach."

God formed Adam and breathed into him the Breath of Life. He had a job for him to do but Adam wasn't much good at it. He needed help. God looked around at all of the creatures that He had created but couldn't find a suitable helper. So, God divided Adam in two. In one half, He put the feminine pieces, parts, abilities and attitudes and made Eve. He left the rest of the stuff in Adam.

Genesis 2:7 - "And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul."

The "Breath of Life" thing is a big deal. It made Adam different from the rest of mankind. It made him immortal. Probably a little lower than the angels because he had a flesh body and theirs was spiritual. He was created to teach men about God. The Bible in spiritual terms calls it 'tilling the earth".

Adam dealt with God's creation all day and when he came home at night he had no one to talk to about his day. God said that that was not a good thing. Let's get him some help. Someone he can commiserate with. He looked around, brought people and even beats over to see if Adam could use them. They found nothing.

So God gave Adam a tranquilizer and while he was sleeping God divided Adam into two beings - a male and a female. In the male part he left all of the things that modern day civilization makes fun of - hunters and gatherers, protectors of family, friends and country, business leaders, warriors and fighting strategists, judges and lawyers, prophets, ministers, the prudent and wise, civil, social, and military leaders, honorable leaders, advisors, builders, creators, teachers.

In Eve he put the feminine attributes including love and caring (Proverbs 31:11 to 31).

I know that this does not sit well with the modern day woman. They consider themselves the equal of a man. Sorry but you're not. There are differences - major differences, and they account for the different roles that each was designed to play.

First let's get something straight. God is perfect. He doesn't make mistakes, errors or blunders. This change in Adam and the forming of Eve was concocted by God way before the foundations of the world. It's God's plan. It was done for a reason.

Our lives on this ball of mud are purposeful.

Together a man and a woman made one complete "Adam". They would be man and wife - a unit. They would procreate. The man would do a job and the woman would care for the family.

But then Lucifer stepped into the picture - again. He knew God's plan and he knew that if it worked his job was finished and he was going to be erased. So in a move against God's plan he seduced Eve. She was easy. She did not have the defences that Adam had and he could talk he into anything and he did.

God took away their immortality and made them human - dying you shall die.
